Consultation has concluded
Maidstone Borough Council are in the process of drafting a new Arts & Culture Strategy for the Borough.
The Strategy aims to ensure Maidstone has a vibrant cultural and arts offer that can be enjoyed by all residents, providing opportunities for everyone to explore their creativity throughout their lives, and to support local artists/makers and creative organisations.
We are running focus groups to gather your views and your thoughts on Arts & Culture in Maidstone.
We are looking to understand what culture and creativity mean to you and what sort of things you’d like to see offered in your area.
During the groups we will discuss what is currently available and how you get involved; what might prevent you from joining in and what might help you overcome any obstacles to taking part.
The focus group sessions are available to anyone living in Maidstone Borough aged 18 years or over.
The sessions are being held at Fusion health Living Centre, 2 & 3 Cobb Way, Park Wood, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 9XF on:
Monday 17 March – 1.30pm-3pm – Meeting Room 1
Monday 24 March – 3.30pm-5pm – Meeting Room 1
Light refreshments will be provided at the in-person sessions.
How do I register my interest?
If you are interested in participating, please register via the link below by . In this form we will ask you about your age, your postcode, gender, ethnicity, economic activity, and which sessions you are able to attend.
We want to ensure that those selected for the focus groups are a representative mix of members that reflect the wider diversity of the borough. If we get oversubscribed and you are not selected to join a focus group at this time, we would welcome your involvement in future engagement on this topic.
We will let you know by 12 March 2025 if you have been allocated a place and send further details of the focus groups.
