Consultation has concluded
Community safety in Maidstone is a shared responsibility. It’s not just up to one agency or body, but a collective effort of various ‘responsible authorities’ and interested bodies from across the borough and beyond. The Safer Maidstone Partnership, our Community Safety Partnership (CSP), is dedicated to implementing and delivering initiatives that help keep Maidstone a safe place to live, work, learn, and visit.
Our 2022-25 Community Safety Partnership Plan, built on local quantitative and qualitative information, focuses on four core priorities:
Protecting our communities against serious, violent, and organised crime (including modern-day slavery) through strong prevention and enforcement measures.
Keeping children and young people safe - because relationships change lives, not resources.
Reducing the harm caused by domestic abuse (including stalking) - because domestic abuse is everyone’s business.
Providing a safe town centre - a space where everyone can feel safe.
We believe that your voice matters in shaping the safety of our community. By participating in this survey, you can help us understand your concerns and ideas better. Your input will guide us in making Maidstone an even safer place for all and will contribute towards our next CSP Plan. We appreciate your time and contribution to this important cause.
The Safer Maidstone Partnership works with local partners and communities to understand concerns and deliver the 4 priorities.
To help do this, we want to know your community safety concerns from the past 12 months:
the impact of crime and anti-social behaviour in your area
your experience of reporting crimes
how safe or unsafe you feel in Maidstone
How to get involved?
Survey - Complete our short survey below on Community Safety and Policing in Maidstone.
Survey takes about 6-8 minutes to complete.
Survey closes: 25 August 2024
What Next?
In May 2025, the Safer Maidstone Partnership will decide the next 12 months of partnership activities to help reduce crime. These will come from:
your response to this survey – impact of crime and anti-social behaviour as well as where you feel safe or unsafe.
a review of crime and community safety data – to help make sure we continue to focus on crimes with the highest risk of harm.
