Consultation has concluded
Reason why we are consulting
We are preparing proposals for new housing on Granville & Gladstone Road. The properties, Granville House, associated car park, and the former R J Kingsland warehouses are to be demolished and replaced by 11 terraced houses, 8 apartments and a single detached dwelling.
This project will provide much-needed housing and help regenerate the area. The scheme is proposed by Maidstone Borough Council (MBC), which is looking to increase the local housing stock and make the most of the brownfield sites in the area. The scheme offers the following:
11 terraced houses, 8 apartments and one single detached dwelling on the land off Gladstone Road,
The site sits on formerly developed land, a brownfield site,
A minimum biodiversity net gain (BNG) minimum of 20%,
We are seeking the views of local resident and want to hear your opinions and views on the proposals for Granville and Gladstone Road.
On the website, you will find virtual exhibition boards with further details of the proposed plans. Once you are familiar with the boards you can fill out our questionnaire survey which will ask for your views on various elements of the plans.
Consultation closes: 21 July
What Next
After the consultation process has finished, we will collate all the answers and viewpoints that we have received. Those answers will then be considered by the development team and will aid them in shaping the ongoing proposals.
