The Maidstone Taskforce is currently working across the Marden to:
● Protect people from harm
● Identify and tackle crime hot spots and trends
● Identify vulnerability and provide protection/support where necessary
● Build community resilience through participation, empowerment and partnership
We want to hear from residents of Marden on what they like and dislike most about the area.
The survey results will be used by the Safer Maidstone Partnership to identify any issues we've not picked up on through crime reports and data already and will help identify any community initiatives and strengths we can help develop and resource as necessary to build resilience.
How to get involved
Survey - Take part in our short survey. Survey takes around 4-7 minutes to complete.

A total of 96 responses were received to the Marden Taskforce Survey.
Findings
Crime and Anti-social behaviour was reported as the top dislike t about living in Marden and was also top of the list in terms of things that respondents would change.
The most common place that people said they felt the most unsafe was in and around Marden train station
The two crimes that people felt were the biggest problems in Marden were Youth anti-social behaviour (78.2%) and fly-tipping/Littering/ Dog fouling (78.7%).
Just over one in five respondents said they had been a victim of Neighbour noise/behaviour in the last 12 months (23%).
More than seven in ten respondents said they had witnessed speeding or road traffic events in the last 12 months (73%).
