Maidstone Borough Council has allocated £500,000 to ‘Explore and invest in project/s that create the conditions for people, and communities to thrive and support a fair, resilient and inclusive local rural economy’.
This includes exploring Business Support interventions and Skills and Training Initiatives for local employers and residents.
The project aims to:
Understand the needs, and challenges of businesses operating in rural areas.
Spread awareness of the councils existing business support services and increase participation from rural businesses with this offering.
As a local business we need your insight to assist shaping Maidstone Borough Council’s ambitious £500,000 Rural Economic Development Programme, please help by completing our short survey abut operating a business in the rural area.
Responses will assist the council in setting relevant funding priorities for interventions to support rural businesses and the wider rural economy.
