Consultation has concluded

This October half term, Maidstone will be welcoming a host of bright and colourful scarecrows to the town centre. How many can you discover?

Local schools and community groups have been busy creating scarecrows based on the themes of ‘Maidstone Faces’ or ‘Famous characters from literature’. We’re offering prizes to the best school and the best community group and we’re asking members of the public to help us decide the winners by voting for their favourite in each category.

You will be able to find scarecrows at Fremlin Walk, The Mall, Lockmeadow, Royal Star Arcade and other businesses around the town centre throughout the half term week.

How can you get involved?

Voting - Vote for your favourite scarecrow for the maker to win a prize.

Voting closes: 30 October 2022

What Next

We count to the votes to find out which scarecrows were your favourites. Winning schools and groups will be notified by 10 November 2022.
