Constant traffic

I live in Harrietsham and Operation Block is an absolute nightmare for those of us living along the A20 diversion route. Many of the lorry drivers not understand how to get back onto the M20 after coming off an Junction 8, I see at least one potential accident each time I use that roundabout.

Also there are constant queues on the A20, this is very frustrating for those of us that live along the A20, trying to get to and from work, or just trying to live a normal life. Many of the drivers try and take short cuts again narrowly avoiding, or in some cases causing, accidents. At night when the traffic is lighter the traffic speeds through our village at much higher than gthe speed limit, and yet there are no police to help stop this. We effectively have been trapped in our homes on weekends because the traffic has been so bad its not worth going out. Not to mention the pollution and rubbish this also causes. With all of tghe new housing being built in the surrounding villages this is going to become even worse.

My father died in Aril, leaving my elderly mother in her house in Bearsted and at times travelling backwards and forwards to her has taken over an hour. This has been incredibly distressing and inconvenient, especially if I’m needed quickly.
