Don't want to leave the house when Operation Brock is on!
When Operation Brock is on it disrupts every journey from where I live in Lenham, just off of the A20 because of all the extra traffic flowing this way. Even the back country lanes are busy with people trying to avoid the A20. It basically leaves me feeling confined to my home. It must be affecting local businesses if people don't want to go out. In my opinion, Operation Brock has been implemented for much longer periods than necessary and simply shouldn't exist in the first place. Is there anywhere else in the world that use their motorway as a car park in times of delays at ferry or train stations. if there is a need for lorries to be parked it should be in a lorry park. I am also concerned that it will start to affect house prices in the area and the ability to move, because who wants to live in an area with this much traffic. On top of which MBC are proposing to build a 5,000 home village close to Lenham which will also use the A20.
