The Brock/Stack misery.

Both my mrs and myself live in Ashford and have to commute west on the M20 towards Maidstone and beyond 5-6 days a week, She works in West Malling and my mobile work takes me mainly to Maidstone, Medway and beyond.

opp stack/Brock has been the thorn in our sides for some time now making any traveling on the A20/M20 an utter misery, it regularly comes to lengthy stand stills caused by break downs or crashes and due to the lack of refuge areas/hard shoulder I really believe someone will be killed, probably by an HGV if I’m honest, just recently the coast bound side has been reduced to one lane over night with a reduced speed of 30 mph which makes the journey frustrating and very long between junctions 8-9.

My mrs and I have recently discussed and agreed that we might well start looking to move to Maidstone or beyond the early part of next year as we simply cannot put up with opp stack/Brock any longer, it’s even compounded by foreign lorry drivers resorting to using local country lanes to avoid it which is also dangerous when confronted by a left hand drive 44 ton artic barrelling along nothing more than a lane “where’s the police to stop this?”, again, someone will be seriously injured or killed before long!

It has to be dealt with quickly and “NOW” it cannot go on!

in my opinion theres Manston airport that’s closed so why not arm it with toilets, mobile shower blocks and snack wagons and park hgv’s there? It’s a relatively simple fix in my opinion? Is it not?

PLEASE, SORT THE M20 NOW!
