Help shape the design and sustainability of future development in Maidstone

Maidstone is embarking on a project to set out planning policies to deliver higher standard of design and sustainability in new development.

As part of this project, Maidstone Borough Council would like to hear from residents and visitors about their experience of the built and natural environment. We are particularly keen to hear what features make good or bad places to live, work and spend leisure time. This could be particular characteristics of streets or buildings, the types of parks and greenspace that you enjoy or avoid spending time in, or more generally the features of the borough that stand out to you as either good or bad.

We are collecting these views through a mapping exercise. The map allows you to add markers to the map to show us the types of built and natural environments you like and those that you dislike.

How you can get involved?

Map - Using the pins please mark the locations you want to tell us about. You can zoom in to enlarge the map and see more detail. Once you have placed your pins, use the comment box to tell us what you like or dislike about the location. You can also upload a photo if you want to.

Consultation closes: 5pm on 12 December 2022.

What next: The information you provide will help us to understand what you like or dislike about the borough, and will be built into the next stage of the Design and Sustainability Development Plan Document.
