How is this the solution?

Closing the main arterial road through a county to stockpile lorries is an absurd proposal to this problem, and I can’t actually believe that this ‘temporary solution’ has lasted so long with little sign of it ending. The quite obvious impact that this has had on the A20 and, in turn, the single track lanes surrounding it has been hugely detrimental to the quality of life for the residents and small business owners that live and operate in the locality. Quite simply put it is shameful

I totally agree with this viewpoint, the 'temporary' solution has been going on for years since way before Brexit! There is the added knock-on problem of minor local roads being turned into race tracks as traffic tried to bypass bottlenecks, and the potholes get worse and worse. The repeated closure of the road through Leeds for one reason or another adds to the local agonies. We no longer go into Maidstone to shop, as the journey is horrendous, and what little public transport we have in rural areas is being cancelled to save the Council money! Kent is becoming, no, has become, a gigantic housing estate and lorry park, such a shame!
