Hythe and Folkestone - Goodbye!

Throughout the year and especially in the summer months I have been a very regular visitor to both Hythe and Folkestone, both places I love. This year Operation Brock has completely put me off even considering making the M20 journey to either place. I don't keep track of when Brock is in place or not I just will not venture down the M20 at all to be on the safe side. Of course this disappoints me no end, but it must be dreadful for the businesses of those and other affected towns if Brock is leading to their visitors/customers being greatly diminished. People in other parts of the country (I know as I've spoken with friends and family) have no idea of the dreadful and continuing impact on our lives. And those just up the road in Westminster who know the impact only too well just seem content to let us suffer - what can we do? make them suffer at the next election I guess, but I'd rather they got a grip and solved this problem so that I can visit my local seaside resorts.

I wholeheartedly share this view. I live in Maidstone and regularly would visit Folkestone / Hythe and surroundings because of the 40 min journey times. I takes far longer to get to the Thanet coast. I have visited far less frequently since Brock was in effect.
