Stop the Lidsing development proposals! If the locals are fighting it enough to take you to court stop what you are doing. Listen to the will of the people.

Sorry Maidstone has become a dumping ground for immigration the local council tax paying residents have become the minority

YOUR LOCAL AREA suggests that this is about where you live. It isn't. It's about Maidstone Town. The many thousands of rate payers that live in villages and hamlets have a very different concept of what 'local' means. Refuse to build more houses until water, roads, buses and many other issues are sorted out.

I love living in Penenden Heath Maidstone. I feel safe walking about and my fellow residents are lovely. Maidstone has a wealth of history and culture and has an amazing diverse community and its wonderful to see them welcomed into the Borough.
The open spaces are amazing and I regularly take my grandchildren to Moat Park... can't wait for the cafe to open .
However I think its sad that some lovely historical buildings are allowed to fall into disrepair such as the once beautiful Georgian/Victorian buildings in Lower Stone Street. I appreciate that they are privately owned but the Council really should have some measure of control about the upkeep and appearance with the owners...they do no favours to the overall appearance of our lovely town.
Week Street and Fremlin Walk look like they are dying on their feet since the pandemic. Can't MBC work on a collaborative basis with KCC to offer incentives to shops to open in the town?
Overall I still love living in our wonderful county town.

Isn’t it about time the infra structure was put in place before building hundreds of homes! Maidstone is gridlocked most days! Sort the roads out!!

More needs to be done about anti social behaviour.

Local area kept clean and tidy by Borough workmen. Green spaces well maintained. Refuse collection reliable.

Lots of building no parking
Inadequate parking in most Victorian streets but planning applications to build more housing are still getting passed,

I've lived in Maidstone for 20yrs, Parkwood where we live has become such a dump, if I could afford to move I would, the streets are dirty, lots of fly tipping, Bell Road has wooden maisonettes at one end and there is an endless supply of dumped rubbish in black binbags by the bus stop every day, its a disgrace and a communal bin should be provided and emptied daily

I like these surveys as they are thought provoking. I hope all answers are considered not just those that will have an impact on those less fortunate. Having good outside space and opportunities to do things is essential no matter what your income & living situation.

Maidstone isn’t the same any
Longer the rents are going through the roof with repairs not being met residents have to put up with antisocial behaviour and Nothing is done
